stockholm
As soon as I stepped of the express train from the airport into this city, I thought I was in some kind of palatial wonderland. The architecture here immediately tells you that this place is different from anywhere you’ve ever been. Located in what seems to be a lagoon, wide rivers lace through the city that is beautifully integrated into it’s surrounding nature. The country still has a puppet monarchy loved by the people. This bustling Scandanavian capital is home to one of the highest-profile, most exclusive club scenes among the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen. Ladies, dress your best, and dudes wear those pointy euro-shoes and a tight-fitting button-up and a few girls under your arms and the rest is up to lady luck. Last summer, it took almost an hour to get into a club when I was at the front of the crowd spent what came out to be $23 on a single Long Island ice tea. That being said, I had the most fun in a single night out at the bars ever. The Swedish government restricts and heavily taxes all alcohol in the country. You can’t find any beer with more than %2.5 vol and it’ll cost twice as much. Consider doing what the Swedish do and nurse whatever you get for as long as humanly possible.
