I'm a big fan of wool in all it's forms, and the team at Wrightsock did a great job to offer up a much-needed option for the Spring and Fall weather--when it's not quite yet warm enough for cotton, but not chilly enough to need the heavy winter boots and socks. These Merino Coolmesh II "Quarter" Socks by WrightSock fit the bill!

I first put these bad boys to use back in Indiana during my undergrad at the Univeristy of Notre Dame. As a Seattle boy, I had no idea what the 'Lake Effect' was in terms of freezing wind and rain, but as a daily rider for the Fight Irish Cycling Team, I put a pair of these to use nearly every day. The high-quality wool packs a lot of heat for it's thin size.

Highlights:

- Uses Wrightsocks double-layer technology to keep your feet dry, warm, comfortable and blister-free

- Add wool into the mix, and you've got comfortable socks to wear on those chillier days.

- I've loved these on my cycling rides in the Seattle area when the weather is being a little to cliche for Seattle i.e. cool and rain.

Drawbacks:

- None to mention! These hold up great under wash, they last for years and keep my toes happy.
